Family Friday!

First off, the Blue Angels have been practicing in my backyard for two days now, it is AWESOME!! We live on an Air Force Base and there is a huge airshow this weekend, at which the Blue Angels will be performing, and they are literally practicing in my backyard! I took these pictures from their website, they are way too fast for me to shoot a good photo, but this is the kind of stuff they are doing.

Although I think it is the coolest thing ever, Jeremiah is terrified. He spent all day yesterday crying because of the noise. He is our cautious one, and things like cats, bugs, lakes, heights, and loud airplanes scare him. When he wasn't crying, he was shaking and clinging for dear life to anyone who hold him. Poor boy. You would think he would be used to the noise from planes by now, since we do live on an AFB, and usually he doesn't cry about it, just kind of whimpers and runs inside. But these are huge, loud, fast planes, there are 5 of the Blue Angels and the noise goes on for several hours a day, plus they are flying really close to our house. The other planes usually stick pretty close to the flight line.

Ella found her feet! Babies chewing on their feet is one of my favorite things, it is so cute. Maybe I am just jealous because I am barely flexible enough to touch my toes anymore!? She is also trying to crawl, she gets up on all fours and rocks a little bit. Oh my, she is growing so fast. It makes me so sad, and so full of joy all at the same time.

Haley is posing to be beautiful again! She is getting ready for her bday party this weekend. After the swimming pool cancelled on us, we decided to go to the lake for the day and have BBQ. We are going to rent a paddle boat and have cake and presents. She is super excited, and I am too. I think a day at the lake with friends and family sounds fun and relaxing.

I set Ella down with Mikey one day while the other kids were going down for nap. When I came back he had given her the little stuffed animal and was reading a book to her. Isn't that adorable?

And here he is helping me vacuum. A friend of ours gave him this kid size vacuum so he could help around the house. And he does. He vacuums his room. Today he thought he would help by vacuuming the living and dining room for me. My floors must've really needed it for the 5 year old to notice!

Anyone ever heard of a Pluot before? I saw them at the grocery and thought we would try them. They are just like plums but a little sweeter and when I cut into it I was super impressed by the beautiful shade of pink on the inside.

Hope your week was as wonderful as mine!

THe kids are too cute!! That fruit is so pretty, I could so use it as a color pallet. I will have to try it!

What a cute little flock you have! I love the reading photo--the one of your son reading to your smallest. That's adorable. Pluots are the best! My parents grow them in California. They also grow apriums--same combination but they look more like an apricot. They're not as good as pluots, though.
