Family Friday...or Sunday

So I am a little late, but better late than never, right? This is what our week looked like!

(Thanks to Ben and Sarah Green for the picture and the following numbers!)
Each June Spokane hosts the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world. 25,000 players from all over the globe, and 3,000 volunteers, and 175,000 spectators come to Spokane. 6,400 teams (3-4 players each) literally take over the streets (several square miles of downtown are blocked off). The tournament runs all day Saturday and most of Sunday. A few years ago Michael played in Hoopfest, this year he was a volunteer court monitor, aka, referee. For his hardwork and for the 20 hours he spent in the sweltering sun they gave him a new pair of Nike basketball shoes, Nike basketball shorts, two t-shirts and a hat! He says it was a good experience but won't do it again next year, just too hot!

These are my nephews . Aren't they a pair?! My sister had her second son this week! Oh, I wish I could just kiss those cheeks and squeeze him. He was 8lbs, 1 oz. Just like my Ella! Congratulations sister!

Jeremiah thinks he is one cool dude in Haley's pink shades, notice they are upside down!

Mikey was helping Dad wash the car before our 4th of July trip to Kennewick. He liked using the sprayer to wash off the suds, but liked it even more to spray his sister!

This is first and 4th generations! Grandma B and Ella Rose, Gma B has 17 great-grandchildren, Ella is the youngest right now, but there are two more due any time now!

Jeremiah "helping" Papa Stordahl fix the dishwasher.

On the 4th, we went to a local splash-pad there in Kennewick. Mikey and the cousins dug in the sand for a while, before washing off in the pool and heading back to Papa and Grammy's house for "fireworks." We did some sparklers and a few of the popping ones. We did some BBQ, but who doesn't on the 4th? All in all it was a good day, Praise God for our country and our freedoms. Aren't we blessed to live in the greatest nation in the world?

Hope your week was as wonderful as ours!
