I am going to stick with my Halloween decor for now. I don't usually do any Halloween decorating, but it was an excuse to craft something.
On top of my entertainment center. The little black votives are my version of these:
Go to Family Fun for the instructions.
I can't get a good picture, but there are spiders and spiderwebs woven into the iron thingy. The orange candles just have glitter chipboard stickers on them.
These are for some thank you gifts. It is orange tulle with green pipe cleaners for stems. I used the kids fingerprints and decorated the tags. In the magazine clipping that I have (from several years ago, so I can't tell you what magazine.) they used orange jelly beans instead of candy corn and it was way cuter, but jelly beans are $4/lb and candy corn is not.

I love the little pumpkins favors! They're soooo cute.
I'm totally being a night owl here. Anyway...no, that blog banner is actually the top of the bookcase you see Princess G. standing in front of in my Fall post.
If you go to my September posts, you will see a link mentioned there (as a tutorial) to make those fabric pumpkins. They're made out of upholstery fabircs.

You're so creative!
Oooo, I love the candy corn pumpkins way more than orange jelly bean pumpkins! And yes, all this smooshing together of holidays and almost overlooking Thanksgiving does make me sad!
Love the title of your post :D
adorable! I think it looks perfect with the candy corn!
oh, and I had no clue jelly beans were that much!
So cute! I love those little bags of candy! Who can I give them to?
Love your craftiness! I never get into the Halloween spirit, probably a good thing!
I am so glad to have re-found your blog. You keep posting to mine and I couldn't find yours!
I will bookmark now for future reference!
So crafty!
Love it!
Great idea!! The favors would be great for my kids class at church.
I love your boo candles. So pretty! Those favors are a great idea. I just love creative people. :o)
The pumpkin favors turned out awesome! Very cute candles too.
Your opening story about Joann's is hilarious....so true! I live in the south and all that fake furry snow and glowing fireplaces make me feel smothered! I am just trying to welcome and enjoy fall as well! Like your blog!
Love your commentary on Thansgivoween! Hilarious!
And your projects are wonderful too! That ironwork is beautiful. I have a piece that's very similar. I'm so going to to steal your idea and stick some fake spider webs in it. They'll be really good for hiding the real webs that are already there. ;-)
Thanks for coming to my party.
Happy halloween!
Kimba
THe pumpkins are amazing! Candy corn is way yummier and more Fall-ish. Totally using that idea. Thanks!

Those party favor sare too adorable!!
I love the little goodie bags! So cute.
Christian, I left a followup comment on the Autumn tablescape post on my blog but wasn't sure if you'd signed up to be sent follow up comments, so thought I'd drop you a note here, too.
I'd be SO flattered to have you use any of the elements you like. If you are able to use an idea or two will you take a picture and send it to me so I can see how things turned out? kimberly(dot)yates(at)gmail(dot)com You made my day, lady!
Love the ideas...we didn't take pics of the fashion show, unfortunately, but it went very well.
Cute little pumpkins - my daughter would love them.
Back for my 2nd trip and just love your candles :)
I got that Grapevine Tree at a little shop in downtown Kokomo, IN. I also have a tabletop one that I got at a garage sale here in MI.
I have never seen them in stores here.
You could look online but I think the shipping would be very high.
I saw a real flimsy table top one at Big Lots yesterday for $20! The ones I have are very well made and I would recommend getting one like that because it will last forever...that one at Big Lots looked like it might last a year or 2 if you were lucky. Too bad it wasn't better quality.
You could ask a Lawn/Garden store or Craft store if they could order one for you...it might be cheaper for them to get it for you than buying one yourself online..I'm really not sure..but those are the ideas I have about getting one.
Or heck...you could even send an email to Craigslist saying you are looking for one, you never know, you might find one :)
Good Luck!
Bella
Wow, great post! I love those little pumpkins, they are soooo cute. And don't we all need to make some gifts as thank you's? That is a great idea.
Hey have an awesome week.
Debbie
I love your ideas, the eyeball votive candles are too cute and the candycorn pumpkins are great I think I will do this for my class for halloween. Oh and BTW I found you through Tip Junkie.
Your decorations look so professional! (In a very crafty and creative way of course!) I must say that our jack o'lantern and costumes are about all the halloween decor that we do around here. Maybe someday ...
I DO have 2 blogs. Our family one is just that, family happenings and really to keep out of town family up to date on kids pics, etc. Then my own blog I try to focus on the things that I am learning/doing to live out Prov 31 practically!
I am having a halloween party and stealing some of your ideas too! They are wonderful! Come by my blog for a halloween giveaway!
I love Halloween decorations..! Those candy corn pumpkins are looking cute and yummy.
I love the thank you favors you made. So cute!
Those are all so dang cute!! I really like the chipboard letters on the candles, and the candycorn thangs are super cute, I might have to do this for my girls YW handout...too cute!!
I love your blog by the way!!
Holey comment crack!! Were you featured somewhere to bring all that traffic to your blog??
To answer your question about honeybees--no one really knows. Keepers are finding their hives desserted with no dead bees in sight, so they could just be leaving their man-made hives. There is a lot of conflicting information out there, but the bottom line is that nobody has any idea what is going on.
You can google it (colony collapse disorder), but take everything you read with a grain of salt. I repeat--NO ONE knows, even though there are those who say they have the answer.
My husband works with bumblebees, but the specific species is not indigenous west of the Rockies. They are working on finding an effective pollinator that is indigenous.
Hope that's helpful. Sorry it took so long, but I haven't been able to comment since last Thursday.
Christian- it's me Susan- your long lost friend...please shoot me an email w/your current email address- i have not had it! miss you!
Aren't you fun! So very cute. Good work, Christian!
Love the favors. Very creative. Love your blog.
Those little treat bags are to die for!
I am going to try to do the candles....but instead of doing a Halloween theme, I think I am going to do harvest or autumn or something like that!
Cute idea!
You are soooooo crafty~ I love the ideas!!! I might do the candy corns for school parties. How cute!!!
